About Us

Our Blog

We’re just like you.  Busy.  So why would we add one more thing – blogging – to our already very full plates?  Well… because… we’re just like you.  Busy.  And as we all know, busyness is the #1 thing that gets in the way of what should be the #1 thing:

Glorifying God and giving Him priority.

Thus, this blog is dedicated to busy girls everywhere who love the Lord and really, really want to give Him glory and priority.  Think of it as our own little Glo Girl community where we gather to encourage one another to give God glory and priority in the great, big middle of our busy lives.

Welcome Glo Girls!

Our Ministry

Priority Ministries was founded in 2003 by busy girl, Laurie Cole.  Our female-friendly Bible studies, challenging speaking topics, and engaging Glo Girl Blog  encourage and equip women to give God glory and priority in their lives.  Check out our website or contact us to find out more about our ministry. You know, when you’re not busy.

Our Writers

Laurie Cole

Laurie Cole is a wife, mother, grandmother, Bible teacher/speaker, Bible study author, and President of Priority Ministries. In other  words, she’s a busy girl just like you.  But God taught Laurie the importance of priorities when she was in her twenties – about the same time she crashed and burned because her priorities were not in order.

In all of the busy years since, Laurie has sought and taught others to give God glory and priority in their lives because she knows that giving God priority – loving Him most and seeking Him first – is the key to glorifying God and fulfilling His purpose in life. It’s the very heart of what Laurie Cole and Priority Ministries are all about.

For 25 years, Laurie has been teaching Bible studies and speaking at women’s events in churches and at retreats and conferences throughout the country. Her Priority Bible Studies and videos have been used in churches, home study groups, and by individuals in 49 states, in Canada, and overseas.

Laurie and her husband Bill serve the Lord at Sagemont Church (Southern Baptist) in Houston, Texas where he is the Associate Pastor of Worship & Praise. They’ve been blessed with three fantastic sons (David, Kevin, and J.J.), one wonderful daughter-in-law (Stephanie), and two glorious grandchildren (Ezra and Juliette).

Emily Ryan

Emily’s life is a circus, and she’s the lead juggler. Only she doesn’t juggle balls or knives or chainsaws. She juggles children, and jobs, and ministry, and laundry.

And in addition to juggling, she’s also a unicyclist, always trying to find that perfect balance between being a wife, a mom, a writer, an employee, and a child of God all at once.  Sometimes it take more ingenuity than others:

She’s a mom of three (Gideon, Canaan and Adelle) and a wife of one (Jason).  Aside from writing and speaking, her fetishes include great deals, great books, and great skin care. And while her first book, Who Has Your Heart? The Single Woman’s Pursuit of Godliness, has been studied in Europe, Australia, South America and all across North America, Emily has yet to travel out of the U.S.

Jan Hart

In addition to serving with Priority Ministries, Jan serves in the Worship and Praise Ministry at Sagemont Church.  She and her husband, Richard, have been married for over 40 years and have two children, Les and Cathy, and three grandchildren: Caroline, Madeleine, and Brandon.
